WELCOMING NOTE FROM NICHOLAS MCCUMBER

Time-Space-Continuum is this
artist’s definition of photography, the media of this era. You’ve logged onto
the TimeSpaceContinuum Digital Forum, which is not simply a web-site. Unlike
most web-sites, the TSCD Forum’s goal is to encourage communication between
very different people. The premise is that, all people ask similar questions
but, by failing to listen open mindedly to others’ answers, people don’t hear.
Some common questions are: Who is
man, why are we here, what is the universe expanding into, and etc. These
questions appeal to a select social group, one that is very diverse. To gain
the group’s attention, several canyons were leapt over. The more solid the
ideas existing at the Forum, to be considered by visitors, the better for
all. The Forum is a hub for
communication and, like any hub, it must be firm.
Two or more people comparing ideas
describes communication and helps cultures grow. People understanding each
other despite their personal cultural teachings will reduce human displays of
anxiety, like wars.
THE GOALS
The Forum exists on the
World-Wide-Web; or in ‘cyberspace’. Digital technology is to this age what
movable type was to Gutenberg’s era. Thus, the first step, is to respect
everyone’s ideas, no matter what they are. We, as viewers, can always turn
away. Remaining stupid is always an option. The Forum was designed to encourage
people to share their ideas.
People can visit, tour the Forum
and learn what is provided. Almost anyone can do that. However, to interact at
the Forum one must become a member, which requires jumping through some hoops.
DESIGN
The Forum accepts today’s digital
technology. People may upload images, textual works, now. Soon, members will be
able to upload audio and video items as long as the rules for doing so are
followed. As time passes, more technologies will likely be invented. The Forum
was designed to easily accept these, as well, thereby remaining a communication
hub.
Please display the courage
necessary to use new technologies. If you would like a first hand look at the concept of what the
Forum offers, you may contact me directly by clicking Here. This
will provide you an e-mail window to use.
MEMBERSHIP
At the forum, ‘member’ is
synonymous with ‘user’. A user must be sponsored by a larger group, like a
college. Only members may interact at the Forum, but many people may visit and tour
the Forum’s homepages; thus getting an idea of what’s available.
If you’ve read this far, then
consider that the TSCD Forum needs users like you.
Sincerely,
Nicholas McCumber, LMRPS
